Today's result is very good - Are all these speed tests done via a wired connection ?

Wow, yesterday was abysmal 
Looks like a potential congestion area there form my limited understanding.
Today's is much better though, wonder what it will be like about 8pm?

Last night was shocking, you tube videos buffering, amazon prime would only play in SD , tested a 1gb file and gave up after 60mins as was only 60% downloaded

Can you go to http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/monitors.html and create a monitor? That may help to see what is happening.

Downloads still dire, you tube working ok
