I've been talking with the broadband team again tonight and they insist that a tap3 result is needed. BTW page has been giving problems this past week.

How do you do the tap3 as i couldn't change the settings they did it remotely

You need to have your SSE username and password. Once you have completed the first two tests, there is an option for further diagnosis, but only if your line speed registers lower than your guaranteed lowest speed. In the connection details you put in speedtest@speedtest_domain and password of testing. Once you save, allow the PPP session to re- connect and you should see the BT ip address. You can then run the test Once done, you need to put your own user details and password back in to continue your browsing.

Openreach been to me today, no fault my end, engineer thinks its congestion

It is definitely 100% congestion. If it was a line problem it would have shown up with my previous isp and it wouldn't be peak time dependent!!
